Separated parents,
clear accounts,
happy kids.

You already note your children's expenses somewhere — WhatsApp, Telegram, an Excel spreadsheet, Splitwise… Co-Kids brings them together into crystal-clear accounts: who paid what, who owes how much, a signed monthly report — plus the custody calendar.

Why Co-Kids exists

An app born in a real separated family

I'm a dad of two, divorced, with shared custody. Like many separated parents, we noted the kids' expenses in a WhatsApp conversation: school lunch, judo, shoes, the dentist…

Over time, that conversation got complicated: impossible to know who had paid what, who owed how much to the other. Every money talk could become a source of tension.

I built Co-Kids for us — then I realised other families were going through the same thing. One non-negotiable rule from day one: my children's lives will not end up on a server. Everything runs on your device, and what syncs between parents is end-to-end encrypted.

I hope this program takes a few of the small everyday stresses off separated parents' shoulders. That's all that matters.

— Laurent, creator of Co-Kids

Three steps, not one more

You already know how to use it

No need to change your habits or convince the other parent: Co-Kids starts from what you already have — a chat, a spreadsheet, a shared expenses app… or a simple entry by hand.

1

Start from what you already have

WhatsApp or Telegram, an Excel or CSV export, a copy-paste, or expenses already logged in Splitwise or Tricount: Co-Kids can read it all.

2

Import in one move

Drop the file or paste the text into the app. Every expense is recognised — amount, currency, child, date — and re-importing never creates a duplicate.

3

Or enter it by hand

Nothing to import? Add an expense in two seconds in Co-Kids. Either way, the balance, the breakdown per child and the monthly report all work themselves out.

The app

Everything you need, nothing more

The balance, in black and white

Who paid what, who owes how much to the other, according to the split you agreed on (50/50 or otherwise). The monthly report can be printed and exported, ends with a signature block — and there is even a special mediator report, with and without disputed expenses.

The custody calendar, finally readable

Alternating weeks, 2-2-3, alternating weekends or a custom rhythm: the calendar colours in each parent's days. One click to swap a day, set holidays, note an appointment. The split of days is calculated automatically.

Together, everything syncs

The calendar becomes THE same calendar for both parents: one proposes a day swap, the other accepts, everything is tracked. The kids' documents and expense receipts are shared between the two households, end-to-end encrypted. Disagreements are settled in the app, every decision is dated. And each month, each parent clicks “I approve this report”: the balance becomes indisputable.

Always up to date

Co-Kids quietly checks for new versions at startup and lets you know — you stay in control. No data sent: only a version number is read.

Privacy

The one thing we don't negotiate

Co-Kids was born from a refusal: to put a family's life on a server.

“We cannot read your data. That's not a promise, it's a technical impossibility.”

The free app runs entirely on your device, no account needed. Your expenses and your WhatsApp conversation are never sent anywhere. The Premium option adds syncing between the two parents: your data then passes through our server, but end-to-end encrypted, on your device, before it leaves — we store bytes we are unable to read.

Pricing

Free forever. Premium if you sync.

Why 3 € a month, when everything else is free? Because syncing is the only feature that costs us money: a server carries and hosts your encrypted data between your two households, 24/7. Premium pays for that server — nothing else. No advertising on your data (we can't even read it), no reselling, no watered-down free version.
